Emergency Surgery
In response to growing concerns about the provision of
emergency surgical care, including trauma care, the College has
developed an Emergency Surgery Position
Statement.
The College sets standards for surgery and is vitally involved in
policy development for the provision of surgical services to the
communities of Australia and New Zealand. The Emergency Surgery Position
Statement was developed by a working party in consultation with the
Specialty Societies and Regional Committees. It is hoped that the new
statement will aid discussion of the problems in emergency surgery and
initiate
action. read
